Every engagement starts with a real business challenge. Here's how we've helped clients across industries replace broken processes with FileMaker solutions that actually work.

10 Years. Real Clients. Real Results.

These are engagements we actually delivered — long-term partnerships where we became embedded in our clients' operations, not just vendors who handed off a system and walked away. Seven clients, seven industries, and decades of continuous work.

Universal Maintenance: Modernizing a Multi-Service Contractor's Entire Business Platform

The Challenge

Universal Maintenance was running their commercial maintenance operation — spanning landscaping, steam cleaning, sweeping, graffiti removal, hauling, and general maintenance — on a patchwork of Microsoft Access databases and manual processes. Contracts, scheduling, dispatch, and billing were disconnected, and there was no unified view of the business for leadership.

Our Approach

We served as primary project lead for a decade, replacing the Access-based platform with a comprehensive FileMaker solution that became the operational backbone of the company. We gathered requirements across every department, prioritized initiatives, and delivered integrated workflows covering recurring contracts, one-time service engagements, scheduling and dispatch, QuickBooks billing integration, budgeting and forecasting, and executive reporting.

Downtown Diva: A Nationwide FileMaker Template for Main Street Organizations

The Challenge

Downtown organizations across the country were managing contacts, businesses, properties, events, sponsorships, and community development data in disconnected spreadsheets and generic tools. There was no purpose-built solution that understood the operational reality of a Main Street program — and no standardized way to report on the metrics that mattered to funders and community stakeholders.

Our Approach

We developed and maintained the Main Streets Database Template — a reusable, productized FileMaker solution adopted by downtown organizations nationwide. The system transformed complex downtown data into actionable reports covering business occupancy, job creation, volunteer hours, sponsorships, property information, and physical improvements. We built a full product model around it: documentation, video training, technical support, data migration, and customization services that enabled seamless deployment across diverse organizations. We also assisted with customer demonstrations and proposals, presenting capabilities to prospective clients and helping close new business.

ElastaPro Silicone Solutions: Inventory, Quoting, and Operations for a Made-in-USA Manufacturer

The Challenge

ElastaPro — one of North America's largest solid silicone sheet manufacturers, AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified — needed a business operations platform that could keep pace with a complex product catalog spanning dozens of grades, specifications, and industry certifications. Managing inventory, quoting, order tracking, and customer data across silicone sheeting, cellular silicone, and uncured compounds required more than off-the-shelf tools could provide.

Our Approach

We developed a custom FileMaker solution tailored to ElastaPro's manufacturing and sales workflows — covering product and grade management, RFQ and quoting processes, inventory tracking, customer records, and order fulfillment. The system was built to reflect the precision and traceability standards required by their AS9100D certification, giving the team a single platform to manage operations from quote to shipment.

Glen Arm Building Company: End-to-End Platform for a $150M General Contractor

The Challenge

Glen Arm Building Company, a $150M general contractor, needed a contractor-facing platform that could handle the full complexity of construction finance and operations — budgeting, invoicing, subcontracts, change orders, lien waivers, insurance compliance, and payroll workflows — integrated with their American Contractor accounting software. Existing processes were manual, error-prone, and couldn't scale with the business.

Our Approach

We partnered directly with the CFO to lead end-to-end delivery of a FileMaker platform integrated with American Contractor. We translated CFO and project management requirements into fully functioning applications covering document management, accounts payable, employee tracking, and timecard processing. The engagement also expanded to deliver custom systems for adjacent business lines: a 650-slip marina reservation and billing platform, a large-scale lacrosse tournament management system, and a school dining POS replacement.

BLB Resources: HUD Home Lifecycle Database for a Government Contractor

The Challenge

BLB Resources, a government HUD Home contractor, needed a database system built to strict HUD guidelines — capturing the full lifecycle of a home from initial marketing through closing. The challenge was translating broad, complex federal contract requirements into a working system that ensured full compliance across every stage of the process.

Our Approach

Working alongside two developers and the product owner, we analyzed HUD requirements and translated each requirement segment into actionable specifications and system design. We built a centralized platform covering the complete home lifecycle, including a document and image storage system that allowed users to organize, associate, retrieve, and manage supporting files within the business system. Our requirements analysis and compliance work contributed directly to securing three government contracts from an initial target of one.

Biotec Client: Global Service Platform for Instrument Repair and Maintenance Operations

The Challenge

A global life sciences company needed a unified internal platform to support instrument repair and maintenance workflows across their worldwide Service organization. Operations were fragmented — manual hand-offs between business platforms, no real-time visibility into equipment availability, and SLA compliance managed reactively rather than proactively. IQOQs required manual signing processes that were error-prone and non-compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.

Our Approach

We owned the full product lifecycle for the platform — gathering stakeholder requirements, maintaining a rolling product roadmap, and delivering four major capabilities. We built an equipment fleet-management system (Loaners & Demos) enabling cross-departmental coordination between Sales and Marketing to reserve and schedule instruments for trade shows and client visits based on real-time availability, with automated checkout/return workflows routing returned units through service before re-entering inventory. We developed an SLA/escalation dashboard that surfaced at-risk cases — reassignments, parts delays, rescheduling — before breaches occurred, enabling proactive, data-driven decisions. We also built a DocuSign e-signature integration with a transactional audit trail and 21 CFR Part 11-compliant logging, reducing IQOQ signing errors and providing a complete change history per case.

Healthcare Technology Client: Radiologist Scheduling Platform Integrating Three Enterprise Systems

The Challenge

A healthcare technology client needed a project manager and product owner to take ownership of Paragon — a custom scheduling database integrating OnePacs, Salesforce, and Google Calendar to coordinate radiologist scheduling across contracted medical facilities. The platform required ongoing sprint-based delivery, clear stakeholder alignment on system changes, and rigorous API and documentation standards.

Our Approach

We served as PM and product owner for the engagement — running weekly system updates aligned to Jira sprint schedules, coordinating changes, testing, deployment, and user communications to ensure awareness of upcoming functionality. We developed visual system architectures and process documentation in Visio and PowerPoint to align stakeholders on workflows and best practices, and defined API integrations, naming conventions, and style standards. We also built process-flow documentation and business specs that gave the team a durable foundation for ongoing development.
